The Rest is Just Noise
Because if you really want it. The rest is just noise.
A few days ago, a friend visited me in Tokyo. We were old friends, so there was lots to catch up. We talked about life, our dreams, and where we want to be.
Out of all the things we discussed, one thing stood out most. I was making excuses as to how I didn't have time for this, how my dreams were too hard to achieve for me, and so on.
But he saw through my excuses and told me:
"If we really want something, the rest is just noise."
The phrase has been stuck in my mind for a while because I know it came from a good place with good intentions. He believed in me, and his words have brought me to believe in myself.
I hope you'll remember this phrase whenever you overthink. Or whenever you start to doubt yourself. Because whatever you are doing right now is about you and your dreams. Today is the day you close that gap.
Because if you really want it.
The rest is just noise.
